Good barber-shop in the NW?

I am looking for a place where I can just go in and have an 'expert' give me the best hair cut possible. Obviously it's subjective but just someone with enough experience to know what will look good without me having to give a bunch of direction.

NW only please, any ideas?

Go see Brett, at the Barber Shop. He's in the strip mall across from Fowler High School on 4th St and 40 Ave NW. He's good, will shave and is cheaper than most, $18 for a cut. I usually just give him a $20 because he listens to what I want, and I always come out happy.

another +1 for Brett. been a barber for decades. He's got another dude in there on Mondays, who is from Antigua or something, and he's also good.

I was waiting for to get a cut from him with two other people while the other barbers were sitting around because we were all there to see him. Then while we're waiting someone called to ask if he was in. He's pretty skilled

Second 5-star barber. The owner Billy is the best by far IMO but sometimes its hard to catch him. I tried Brydon my last visit and was pleasantly surprised, definitely a good option.

The guy from the Caribbean is gone. The second guy is now some guy who looks like he is probably the bassist for a 90's grunge band. Didn't catch his name when he cut my hair yesterday. I like Brett a little better, but the other guy is fine.

kaz cuts in the NE. super ghetto location but the cut is fantastic if you like a fade. hot shave too for $20.

Evanston Barber shop. The guys in there are very good.
I usually ask for Ken but haven't had a bad cut from any of the guys there. 6 guys you can get in there

My buddy goes to Varsity Barber Shop and really likes it, He was a long term client at Jeromes so must be half decent at least!

Billy is awesome too. Went to him regularly for a while too. Just a good all around team there.

Billy is the man for sure! No knock on any of the other guys, but Bill really knows his stuff. He is the only barber I let touch my beard...

Evanston barbershop was pretty good. Gonna be going for the second time this week so I'll see if they're consistent.

I went there once, and didn't go back. Brett kinda did what I asked for, but wasn't fantastic. Most importantly, instead of using a brush or blow dryer to get the hair off my neck and ears, he actually blew it off me a couple times... like blew with his mouth. For someone who is a career barber, that was goddamn ridiculous and grossed me out bigtime.
