The cheapest part of the interior is the b pillar. Bare exposed painted metal lol. Looks disgusting on any color except black. And maybe red.

I think they all have it - in AMG world, it's called "race start".This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can confirm. Although, I don't notice it at all anymore. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
For the record, I never did a race start on the green car. Don't even know how. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I couldn’t figure out how to activate it on the test drive, I tried two pedaling it and it just doesn’t do anything.
If I remember right, you have to be in sport+ mode. Brakes on (hard). Pull both paddles back. Confirm request pops up, right paddle to accept. Full throttle, then release brakes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Other requirements is all temps in normal range, steering wheel straight. Also once you’re on the throttle while stopped, it disengages if you don’t let off on brakes to start after around 5 seconds. So timing is critical at the lights. The left turn priority signals going first always fucks me up haha.

I did once - after they booked me in to replace the entire driveline, but before they completed the work haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It was fun, but it's just so so hard on the car IMO.
edit: this is why I think the issues in that car were probably an exception to the rule. I've read way more stories of people that launch the cars all the time and never had problems than stories like mine where there were problems with cars that have been taken care of. Maybe it's a sign that I need to start driving much less responsibly.

It's different for the new ones isn't it? Mat Watson had an AMG A35 for a while as his daily that he used on a bunch of those CarWow drag races and I recall it being a simpler procedure although the AWD system is different on the new ones as last gen was basically Haldex. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
