Apparently Kyle's Fit had 18mm ice studs. that thing was a beast out there.

just to stir the pot, but anyone would have looked like a champ with those tires. lol

I was very surprised how well that Fit can handle and rotate.

Yeah, I got a ride in the Fit at the end the day. That was probably the most fun car to be in that day, although the WRX was probably a close second.

Yeah one of the other instructors was telling us about the massive cheater studs on that thing. At some point they stop being "studs" and become "spikes".

The R32 also had decent studs and gripped like hell when I took it for a spin.

Haha well, to be fair a lot of it had to do with how surprisingly nimble the Fit was. That totally caught me off guard. I thought that thing was around to store pylons and and deliver pizza haha! Expectations are always set high for a WRX

The laws of physics are harder to defy, and more apparent in low grip situations. The lighter the car, the more nimble it'll be.

The braking in the fit with those cheater studs were insane. It felt like it was dry pavement when hammering on the brakes.

Holy hannah, at what point do you just stop bothering with having rubber at all?

    Stud class - No rubber

The integra ice racer pictured is running the unlimited class which means no treads - the tires are also shaved.

Ok, now I'm curious to ask how much ice you shave down over the course of a day.

I wouldn't know - have to ask me again next year or come out to an event.
