I enjoy trolling South Center with my son on my days off. Home Depot trips. swimming on Mondays at the Y, and bike rides in the summer, he yells at me like crazy to go faster when he's in the chariot, I'm sure I've set some records getting from Fish Creek to the Glenmore reservoir.

Good for when the kid can hold their head up, until they can hold their own on the pathways.

    I'd say from 18months to 8 yrs.

There's the in between period when kids can bike, but neither fast not far, and it's easier to put them in the trailer.

Wait a little bit. Nenshi is planning to raise taxes again next year and give one to every household in Calgary.

Avoid hills in those chariots. I used to ride into work from Renfrew, and coming home have to ride up Crescent Heights with the kid in the chariot, that's quite the experience. FASTER, COME ON GO FASTER! WHY ARE YOU STOPPING? Terrible shit haha.

Haha. I'd prob be getting out and pushing the thing up the hill! I recall doing that as a fit child, so as an almost thirty Dad I'm pretty sure it would kill me.

Usually with berries, fruit, etc. My guy loves the blueberries. He eats them until he has pure black shits. It's hilarious.

    Kijiji that sh_t.

Most people buy Chariots, use them 10 times and then sell them for half.

We borrowed one from a friend whose kids didn't like riding in it anymore and our son liked it until he was 3 and started feeling cramped in it.

Ugh no. Don't. Nothing is worse than someone pushing a Chariot at a crowded place trying to get through. Those things are way to big to use as a stroller (aside from at a park or some other wide open area).

that is eaxactly what my wife did first. bought a used one for 350 i think used it for a year. then sold it for 375 and bought a brand new one and put it thru her health spending account.
she wanted to upgrade from the older model cause the velcro would always wake her when trying to remove here after a ride. new one has silent clips

True.... Brand name Chariots are overkill for the rich.

Lots of trailers on the market, and lots used available.

I stayed at home last year for 6 months, it was alright when my daughter was younger - she napped twice a day and I started doing some woodworking. Then she got around 10 months and only napped once a day for 2 hours so it was full on just watching with her/playing with her. I'd imagine an 18 month old would be about the same.

Theres a pool in the NW next to the university called vecova - the pool is saltwater and temperature is about 35 degrees. They have a family swim almost every day from 11am to 12pm - usually its all just moms and kids. I think its pretty cheap to get in.

I take my daughter to music classes at mru every friday as well.

I think theres some indoor play center type places to take your kids too.
