Yeah, head office sent me a cheque for the difference, it's in one of my posts I think. The head office handled it well, the flower shop itself...not so much.

Last year I used Red Rose as well as recommended by Tirebob. This year...I used no one. My wife sits with a bunch of chicks who are divorced, in the process of divorce, or have really shitty husbands. And she said she gets some abuse from these chicks when I send her flowers

So we're just doing dinner and sex instead.

Last year in April (anniversary) I ordered her flowers to celebrate. The bouquet was made from roses (her favourite), baby's breath, and lilies (my favourite). She was in Saskatoon so I ordered online then got her roommate (both of them are vet students) to pick up the flowers. Now her roommate should have likely known that lilies are extremely poisonous to cats, and we both should have known her cat would sample the goods. I did not know that lilies were dangerous to cats, in fact a single petal can cause kidney damage which is irreversible if not treated quickly. Anyways roommate left the flowers on the counter in the apartment and then went to her room. Cat hopped up and consumed not just one petal, but 3 whole lilies. Alyson came home and immediately found vomit everywhere and a very sick kitty. But because they live like a block from the school they got him in and his stomach pumped and immediate iv. As a result her and I spent the next y weeks giving him iv fluids until his test showed normal kidney results. A year later and he has shown zero kidney damage thanks to immediate treatment.

Actually looking back I am surprised she didn't kill me
