Thanks. That makes sense, good if in an accident and speed is in question, or a speeding ticket is issued without radar. Might be worth the option.

The GPS can be used to aquire speed, and in some instances, it can be used to plot the course on a map as well when under review. I know the Blackvue does this, unsure at this point if the Marcus lineup does this as well. I will know more when I get my samples.

These defences will not hold up in court as the calibration of these devices can not be verified, and as such won't be entered into evidence. Don't count on it as a get out of jail free card, think of it as an estimation at best.

I have also closed any orders for the Marcus1 unit. There has been a distinct lack of interest in the unit.

in my searching online for how the dual camera mounts i came across this.

"Here is Vicovation Marcus-series standard bracket / mount and with attached GPS module."



then i seen this pic with gps mounted.



could you find out if the gps can be used with the sticky on mount or only with the suction mount. and still wondering how rear camera mounts.

wife is saying get the 5 cause the specs should out way the size. im gonna build a cardboard mock up tonight to see how it fits behind rear view mirror.

Looks to be about the same width and about 3/5th the length of an iPhone 5.

if i do get the 5 im replacing the dual setup i have now. which hides behind mirror quite nicely 720p front/vga 480 rear. has to be worth it for me to upgrade and i want a gps version and with the suction mount thats hangs down half the window. if you read elsewhere seems everyone loves this new camera specs but size is the only negative.
