    Sold on the same day as listed for over the asking price? Are you seeing this as a regular occurrence now similar to 2006 / 2007 when things were crazy?

    Means the listed price was too low IMO. Old demand v supply, so the price should be higher. On the day, the house sold for X, would it have sold for X plus on a later day or week? The buyer thinks so or was in a panic/need situation. My in-laws in Victoria are about to lose 80K on their newish home, it is three years old, they obviously overpaid in buying it for 450K but were in a panic need situation at the time.

    +1, bidding war ensued probably, I know when my parents sold their first house this happened, 2 different clients wagering back and forth the whole day apparently.

    and tons of places on mls in Calgary that have been on the market on and off for years and not selling. A good deal is a good deal in any market and obviously a lot of people thought this was a gem. Every house isn't a gem though. People hear about this and see this and assume they can start asking ridiculous prices for their average homes and they just sit.

    CMA was 499,900. I pushed to 509,900 based on limited inventory...sold for 515,500...Crazy market out there. My guess is we will see a 7%-8% increase over 2014
