Impossible. I usually just go to the kiosks in the malls and get them to do it.
Damn it. Lol.Originally posted by gpomp

Im so cheap, and some of them have wanted 20$ or more lol
Not impossible you can use a bit of soap water. I have a vinyl cutter so I have a bit of practice applying them and if I mess up just cut a new one
i was the se way but those $ ones are garbage.Originally posted by Toma

i went with invisishield front and back at the mall kiosk. they have lifetime warranty. 5$ deductible.
with a white phone after a few months the shield on the back of my iphone starts turning yellow. i just get front and back replaced every few months under the warranty.
they also put it in their heater that sort of bakes the protector on.
The place in front of T&T (NE) did my note 3, its $7 for the matt fingerprint resistant one, and like $5 for the shiny one...can't really get any cheaper than that, and my install is perfect, not a single spec. If they screw up they redo it for free, so much easier than trying to save $3 dollars buying it online and doing it yourself.
Just get it Ghost Armored for $20 bucks and enjoys the savings of a lifetime warranty with a $5 replacement fee.
anyone using tempered glass protectors?
Are you looking at dry or wet applied screen protectors?
I put a dry screen protector by Spigen on my S4 and you wouldn't be able to tell there was one on there.
The big key to applying most of these is get your shower nice and hot, take your shirt off and try and get as much dust off of you as possible.

The T&T supermarket in the NE, around Marlborough, as you walk into the mall area and keep walking, you will see a place selling a ton of cell phone cases right in the middle, believe they are the last shop just before entering actual T&T store. I bought my case + screen protector for my note 3 there, and both cases and screen protectors are cheap enough that it wasn't worth my time ordering online and waiting forever.Originally posted by Toma

Someone find where they sell these things :

I use my phone full-nude now that Gorilla glass is so good (plus I'm super anal with my phone haha). Before I used the Just Like Glass protectors and they were by far the best I've used. Better than Spigen, Invisible Sheild, etc. They are...just like glass. Perfectly clear, and do not scratch. You don't know it's installed at all if you do a good job. They are more finicky about installation, but if you're really careful, they are the best IMO. They key is to use an actual lint-free cloth, not the "lint free" cloths they provide.

i just wet the protector and wet the screen and put it on, wiggle it into place and use something to soak up the excess water that comes out
//edit
and if you fuck it up, dont just throw it out and think its "wasted"... take it off and rinse under the tap and re apply it (wash the screen also to get rid of any newly accumulated debris).
Someone i know went to apply one of the cheap ebay bought ones and messed it up, and was gonna throw it out... i told him he can just wash it and re do it and hes like "wtf? then why does it say 'dry install'??" lol
whatever works, right?

If its a dry install getting it wet CAN make them not stick properly.Originally posted by EK69

they've stuck on no problem for me for all of the ones i've done typically when u wet the screen protector, the part that sticks to the screen gets a little sticky/tacky anyways and when you apply it, it sticks just fineOriginally posted by firebane

i also should say that i apply them using the U method (squeeze the ends so that it makes a U shape, then stick the center part first and drop it, and it conforms to the screen just fine
any small air bubbles that are left you squeeze out (i use my fingers or the rag thats gonna soak up the excess water to work them towards the edges and then out)
i used to work at rogers and used to get this request all the time haha
became a professional at puttin them on.
theres a technique to it
