Where have people picked up acrylic counter tops from in Calgary? I'm not really into stone and would rather get something in a near solid white color.

Just be careful as they are pretty soft and stain easily. Make sure there's a good coat of finish on there. (from what I have seen).
Corian or Solid Surface
Edit: There's a place beside Memory Express in the NE. Forgot what it was called but wholesales out to contractors.

Corian is nice but what a bitch to maintain and keep looking nice.

yeah. commercial use needs a resand every few years. At home, if you're careful and all should be ok. Just remember it's not soft and chips easily.Originally posted by firebane

I thought Corian and other acrylic tops are supposed to be stain resistant and non-porous.

they are marketed as such but it will stain. Just have a good sealer and wipe down after use. Especially if you're looking at white.
