    Default landscaping

Looking for recommendations for a landscape company. We need someone capable of checking and fixing the grading. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to make a thread but I don't want to get flamed for having a similar request.

Anyone have any recommendations for a landscaper to do an entire backyard (new build) Including fence, top soil, leveling, sod and possibly a deck.

It's a pretty big yard, I'll post a picture and dimensions up later. Trying to figure out the cost so I can arrange a budget. Would possibly be a joint effort with neighbors too (for fence)

For reference you can expect to double the material cost to have someone build a fence for you. We built ours (and 3 neighbors) for $20/ft. (did everything but dig the holes) and all the quotes we received for someone to build were $35/ft and up. Building a fence is pretty damn easy BTW.

Sodding a yard is dead simple. Get a load of fresh dirt and some sod delivered, push the dirt around till it's flat and draining how you want and roll the sod out. Pretty much impossible to mess up.

Ryan, I'll send you a pic of the backyard, I have no interest in rolling around in dirt to get that shit done lol.

In hindsight this does sounds easy but I don't want to hear it from the old lady if it's not perfect

    BUMP.

Looking for a landscaping company to do front and backyard(new build) for top soil, leveling, sod, and a deck.

At the moment I only have Blue Lake Contracting only because one of my neighbors used them. Anyone else have experience with them?

Rock Bottom Landscaping still pretty good?

Looking to get a few quotes.

    Thanks.

I had my yard done through Decade 90 and it looks fantastic. I had them install artificial turf and you cant even tell its fake, they also made me a small putting green

Speaking of decade90, i purchased a piece of artificial turf from them for my dog to do his business on. Easy company to deal with, gave me a good price, as it was extra stock.

For fence and deck work, I'm pretty sure Spikers does that stuff.
If anyone is in Cranston, I know a guy who does that kind of building on the side, but he probably won't travel to other parts of town. PM me for his info.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Hey 403ep3, have you received quotes yet from the guys you've contacted?
I'm having trouble getting a response from some of these guys.

So far these are the ones that has responded:

Rock Bottom Landscaping: Just provided a quote via email without looking at the property. quote me $10k (PT deck).

Chinook landscapes: They told me they only service SW and West of the city. I'm in the NW so these guys are out.

Blue Aspen: Guy went over to have a better look at the property. He asked for an RPR as well before he can provide a quote. That was 2 days ago, hoping to receive a response from his soon. Seems to be pretty good to deal with so far.

I have contacted the other landscaping companies mentioned in this thread a week ago with the exception of Assiniboine and so far they haven't responded back to me.

    I contacted:

Assiniboine: They are okay.. not sure if I will end up going with them. The quote came when he said he would have it ready though.

Blue Aspen: He came on Saturday and said he would have a quote for Tuesday.. still nothing

Kay2: Had our quote the next day and looks to have a bit better value than Assiniboine.

They all wanted the RPR. I'm curious what Blue Aspen will quote us, but his timeline =

Has anyone ever negotiated with landscaping companies? Is this a thing with these guys or probably not?
