well Toyota and GM share this plant i think its in canada, thats where toyota engineers designed the engine and the car for GM, so i guess now they making it for themselves at the asia market...

well in japan toyota has a cavalier as well.
its called a toyota cavalier. at least the vibe has a different name

i was shocked when i saw a cavalier at a toyota dealer when i went to check out the 2002 supra.

That's the only reason the Cavalier got any aftermarket. TRD. They started it all. Look at the sunfire. Exactly the same car, but no aftermarket support.

yah, I saw that a while back. So messed up to see that. But there's no Cavalier on the JP website now

No, the matrix was designed by toyota for toyota. Pontiac is using a complete toyota chassis and driveline and putting their own sheet metal on it.
