    Default Canmore bar

Throwing my wife a birthday party and rented a limo bus to drive everyone from place to place. Have a place where we are starting at 6:30 on Saturday. However I need another recommendation where we can all go around 8:30-9:30 ish. Ideally some of our ladies would love to dance so a place that has either live music or a DJ would be awesome.

Since this bus has a liquor license I figured driving out to Canmore would be fun, but I need a place that would get 25 of us in at 9:30. Any recommendations for places in Canmore?

Our crew is made up of 35 years olds, married couples that need a break from our kids.

If you want Live Music go to the Drake. Great time and little older crowd from my experiance.

The Drake if you like a bit more of a dive-bar atmospehre. Has great bands, and a great dancefloor.

I met a girl there once who was dancing wearing a backpack. She claimed to have a turtle in there, but when I looked, there was no turtle. True story.

The Drake as already has been said for the live music.
Also could check out the Canmore Hotel they are also known to have live music on the weekends.

Not sure what's stranger a girl with a turtle in her backpack or actually finding a girl to talk to in Manmore

15 minutes farther will get you to Banff which has The Dancing Sasquatch, Aurora, and Hoodoo much better bets for Electronic music than what you'll find in Canmore

Made me think of the Swingers line:
And it's like I'm supposed to be all happy 'cause she's wearing a backpack, you know?

I've never had that problem in Canmore.

OP, besides the Drake and maybe the Canmore Hotel, there isn't a ton for music and dancing there. I would probably follow the recommendations to head a little further to Banff and rip it up there. There's just a bit more in the way of variety there. And if you guys get bored of dancing, there's a ton of quieter pubs within walking distance.
