Online alternatives to cable?

I seen the ota thread and thats not really the route I want to go. Im looking for something Kinda like netflix but with actual channels. I like disc ch, natgeo, tsn, and anything channel that plays hockey, football, baseball etc. Im not into the free tv thing because most sites that say its free comes with pop ups and other types of spam or is just unreliable or choppy.

Does anyone know if there is a pay site that will allow me to watch scheduled tv programming thats cheaper, more custom (choose the channels you actually want), reliable and no pop ups.

well if you can live without TSN and Canadian stuff;

Get US IP/ Get Aereo/ruko box.
