    Default Video editing/voice software

Does anyone know of some good freeware that would help me get some better voice out of some IP camera footage? Most of it is good, but some of it I can't *quite* hear what's going on. Just looking to, for example, enhance the voice and lower background noise.

I have Photoshop CS6...not sure if it has video features built in like this.

    Thanks!

your probably better off splitting the audio out into a wav file and using something like audacity to enhance it.

not sure if something like premier or vegas would have what your looking for, im not to familar with either program. something like vitualdub has some basic filters that you can add on that may help, but that depends on if your video file is compatible with vituraldub.

Premier does have the capability to split it out. It's just more expensive than most...

It's a PITA process. I have yet to find a voice enhancement filter that works well.

What I usually do is manually graph out and pump up the volumes based on the speech, use a good NR filter to filter out as much BG noise as possible, then manually EQ out parts of the spectrum that gets rid of remaining noises, but keep the vocals audible. Painstaking and time consuming.

CSI sure the fuck makes it look easy lol.

Hmmm, thanks guys. May not be worth it. *Most* of it is clear anyway, getting a little bit more out of it probably wouldn't make any difference.

I tried some freeware on the weekend as well and couldn't get any good results.
