Crowchild crash

Traffic was a gong show this morning.. Very strange location for a crash since the road is quite straight leading up to it.

Probably went out the side window during a roll or spin.

Looks like he bounced off the center median quite hard, knocked a few pieces of debris over to Southbound therefore shutting that down to one lane.

Hmm yeah I was wondering why they needed to shutdown one southbound lane, rendering Crowchild down to 1 lane after Kensington Road.

Traffic was so boned because of this. It added an hour and a bit to my commute downtown today. It was a parking lot from 50th Ave all the way into the west side of downtown. I just don't see how this accident happened; lose control that badly, and get tossed.

There was a bunch of glass and some plastic from one of the fender wells in the southbound lane when I went by this am.

He must have been flying. I wonder if he got ejected into the southbound lane?

I was wondering what the fuck was happening. They even closed the exit from 17th -> Crowchild off and 17th was total gridlock.

Who knows what happened exactly. Maybe he was lost or distracted. I've seen a lot of people not yield coming up onto crowchild or realize they're in an exit lane at the last minute in that section. It's actually a pretty poorly designed place.

There was this lady on the news this am who saw it. She said the car flew by her "going at least 180" and drove straight into the divider by the turn-off.
