I know! I am going to have to take a couple days to dedicate to all the smaller projects people want me to do. But I don't want to rush jobs either, I like to be able to take my time and think it through.

I am still searching for the type of railing you have on your deck.

I should post a pic of your place (with your permission of course) and the work I did there. That wood is so beautiful!

I want to demolish my existing deck and re-do another deck. LOL Come to Edmonton and build one for me.

On a sidenote, do you have to get a permit to demolish deck?

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Feel free to post pics. My friends all thought you did a great job above the fireplace on the deck.

This was a little nerve wracking to do. This wood is imported from Indonesia, and is incredibly expensive. If I fuck up a cut with oak or whatever, I am out $2-30 and I replace it. I am proud to say that I didn't screw up even 1 cut, mainly because I could not afford to.

All the tongue and groove here is installed, and you can't see even one fastener.

And then I installed the trim pieces...

    and finished!

Also did stairs for the decks, with this same wood.

I am still trying to source some handrails for the stairs to finish those off.

Nothing too complicated, but the devil is in the details, and I am sure some of you can appreciate it.

The details is why I don't do that type of work. I can slap shit together with a stack of 2x4's pretty good, but it'll always look like a hackjob. That's fine for some purposes, but not for your home.

Much better to hire guys with attention to detail, like Mr. spikerS.

I just had a PT fence between my neighbor and I completed by spikerS. Job was completed within 5 days of meeting with him. I’m very pleased with the timeframe he completed it in and with the way the fence looks – very straight! He sent me several picture updates while I was at work which I appreciated. After finishing the fence, I noticed a couple minor issues and he came back that evening to fix them with no complaints. To top it off, his price was very competitive.

110% would recommend him to anyone. Thanks again spikerS!

    Necro bump.

Having fun with this build. The home owners told me the general idea of what they wanted, and left the rest up to me to engineer and design. I check in with them regularly to make sure they are happy with how it is turning out and they are excited.

All that is left now is to stain it, and add some dark trim pieces to hide the seams and add some definition.
