I made the new piece to cover the coilover mount on the passenger side and welded it up. also made the second tie down for the hood for that side.

Wicked! Cannot wait to see the finished product.

So you will be dropping a 2L Turbo from an SRT4 into it?

Already has a 2.4L turbo from the SRT-4 Neon with a Stage 3 turbo upgrade. Somewhere around 350 hp is the plan.

I wonder how that thing will handle with such a light front end.

Had one of those productive days where nothing really looks different. Finished welding in the new panel at the back and the passenger side fender splices. Also started the kick out to the firewall that will give me ample leg room and give the pedals the required clearance. I made the structure under the running boards and tied it into the frame with some 1x2 tube. I can now step on them to climb in and out and not kill myself trying to jump over.

What a heap of shit! Will be awesome when it's done though. Wonder how many more years of rot were left?

I wonder what will be left of todays cars when they are 80+ years old. I don't see them lasting near as well nor being nearly as collectible as cars of that era.

Considering all the plastic in cars, they should last pretty long! Just read through the whole thread on the srt forum, this is such a cool project!

Progress will slow for the next 3-4 months. I am here! Any guesses?
