Default Drunk driver found guilty for the death of two Calgarians in 2012

A lot of you probably already know, but for those who don't: http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/amie-notte...eath-1.1844223

Good to see an update on this case.

Wish there were more serious penalties for people like this, though. This was definitely one of the saddest stories to hear about in our city.

Wonder what the sentencing will be? Didn't read in article, hope they revoked/suspended her drivers license.

The speed limit at a red light is zero kilometres per hour
    They should put up signs.

The blood alcohol level at the time of the crash was between 220 and 270 mg per cent so, in the order of three times the legal limit.
So basically close to loser/blackout drunk.

    Amie Nottebrock

Proper justice would be having her wages garnished 50% for the rest of her life with the money going to the family of the innocent man that was killed.

Close to? At 0.2 BAC I'm pretty sure the average person would have fallen asleep the second they sat down in their car. Bitch is a machine.

Hope her sentencing is tough. Barelling through a red light at 140 km/h while hyer BAC was 3 times over the limit?

Yeah, I have seen the people that are on TV, and they get like 0.15 readings and can barely stand up straight or mumble a short sentence.

If she was over 0.2, that is indeed very impressive!

It's not actually that difficult. I'm by no means a "hard drinker" but I've easily drank 2 beer an hour over 8 hours during a BBQ/late night gathering, and that puts me well above 0.2 and I can walk/talk just fine, not driveable, but not falling on my ass either, lol.

On the flip side, my wife can drink until she is QUITE obviously drunk (and falling), and still be at 0.06... people just have different systems.

Lol, I typically drink maybe 4 beers a week (on my 7 days off, and zero on my 7 days on), and go out once a month for more. I'm not sure anyone would call that a "hard drinker"... or maybe I'm wrong?
