    Default 2014 Focus ST

Figure I'd make a build thread of what I'm doing to the car... You can follow me on Instagram as well to keep up with some photos that I don't post in here @S197v

    Little background:

I went to Ford to go and see the ST as I heard a lot of hype about it and wanted something fun to drive after I sold my procharged mustang.

Went and saw a black one at advantage ford and took it for a drive and fell in love.

February 27th I test drove one
February 28th I put a deposit to have one built by Ford with all the options and in oxford white.

May 9th I took delivery of the car. First brand new car and it felt great

Second day of owning it I added a COBB high flow air filter and Rally Armor mud flaps.

Next up I got tint done 35% all around

Took this photo as well as I thought it was kind of cool how far the focus has come since the previous gen.

Next up was replacing the weak stock rear motor mount. These cars suffer from some serious wheel hop and 1-2 shift bang. The solid COBB rear motor mount takes care of that.

Following that was an install of a Turbosmart 50/50 blow off valve. Since I plan on turning the boost up later on this seemed like a good idea. Plus it sounds sweet haha

Left is the stock flimsy cheap shitty bpv and right is the bov

Small spots I always seem to bust up my hands. Can't really help it seems to be a tradition anytime I work on a car. The sign for the garage was a must

A month or so ago I preordered a set of cup spoilers from 1552. Did a quick test fit and dropped em off to my buddy for paint.

Today I also ordered COBB springs along with a short shift plate for the transmission.

That's it for now until I start adding some more stuff.

I love those cars and love what you're doing with it, I just can't get past that hood gap though.

Thanks guys! The interior is by far my favourite part of this car. Seats are super sporty and comfy.

I've got a few things left on the car this year for some exterior mods. Not going to do too much this year in terms of performance as I wanted to leave the engine/ecu stock for the year incase of any problems.

So far future plans consist of stage 3 upgrade kit. CAI, FMIC, turbo back, and COBB accessport.

Plan on cleaning the car up nice as well for this years illmotion show and shine. Should be rolling in with Bill and Mario's SICK ST.

    Looks great man

Do these cars meter air after the BPV? I know in my old Cobalt SS-Turbo the BPV was down stream of the mass air sensor so venting any air via a BOV caused issues.

Thanks dude! The bpv was actually attached to the compressor side of the turbo basically in the block. Doesn't affect the car any bit having an aftermarket one. Should help later on when I turn up the boost as I can adjust the setting on it.

    Nothing too crazy.

COBB shift knob came in along with my shift plate and springs.

What the shift plate does is reduce the throw of the shifter without getting an actual short shifter kit. Very nicely designed piece. Has the option for 30 or 40% reduction from stock. I currently have it set on 40%

I'm hoping to possibly do the spring install this coming weekend.
