Comprehensive insurance is a must in Calgary.

Also, we have a great summer, it's usually schedule for the second and third week of september.

Can somebody please post the gif/video of the guy squirming around on his roof trying to protect his car from the hail?

Always seems to strike a note with me

Get one of these if you park outside. 5 mins to install, 5 mins to inflate.

I just keep a dozen of these and run them outside and tie them all together whenever hail is in the forecast.

I would totally do this too, now that I run a softtop.

I was actually putting some thought into this, and I was thinking that if I had a tarp, or some sort of heavy mesh netting, I could put an attachment point on the side of the house, maybe screwed into the trim of the garage, using some hooks, then just use some spare tent poles to hold the other end up and provide a temporary hail shield. I'm thinking mesh instead of a tarp, because of the wind factor.

It's not the deductible, it's the 6 month wait after a huge hailstorm to get it fixed that's the pain lol.

If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

Don't think that'll work, hail goes sideways too.

Hook it up to an LTE receiver and somehow make it inflate with a phone call... Instant seller.

Why not just park it in the garage?

From the August 12, 2012 hailstorm in which we had two vehicles hit - both appraisals done in 8 days, one was completely fixed in 17 days and the other 31 days. One month total time for two vehicles.

Isn't the garage just the large storage area for most people?

Rhetorical for me .... I guess if I drove a balling C63 AMG I might consider this as an option.

But to spend 15-20 minutes extra every summer day installing and removing the cover (assuming to/from work) .... doesent make sense with the vehicles I have.

Our Mazda 3 and my FJR fit in the garage, but my F150 won't.

What about my 60k truck? It's not an AMG, but it's a helluva lot of money for me.....

See, this is why I was thinking of something attached to the house that I could quickly, like in 2 minutes, roll out overtop the truck. Like a pull down blind type of deal. Then it's something I could pop out when the hail starts...

What if his work has no covered parking? Then what's the point of building that tarp contraption into the side of your house when your car gets hammered when you go to work.

You will check wx.ca at least 3 times a day if you park outside to see sudden weather changes.

    Or drive a beater.

I don't take my truck to work. Parking DT is too damned expensive. I take my bike.

Incidentally, hail while on a bike? Well.. that sucks the hind tit in more ways than one.
