An estimated 50,000 people marched from the BBC's New Broadcasting House in central London to Westminster.

"The people of this building [the House of Commons] generally speaking do not represent us, they represent their friends in big business. It's time for us to take back our power," said Brand.

“I think that the mainstream media likes to control the parameters of debate so important ideas never reach mainstream ideology. Because if people knew what was happening, they wouldn’t tolerate it; if people knew how exploited they were. Ignorance is a necessary ingredient for oppression,” he said.

So 50000 overpaid and superfluous government employees along with a heroin addict don't like budget cuts agreed upon by a democratically elected coalition government. Maybe this was fiscally prudent? Naw just big evil corporations and the 1% making themselves richer. Or something like that.

That's their argument.

Hes actually a pretty smart and witty activist if you watch his videos on YouTube... except for one thing... he supports communism which makes me think he may be a controlled opposition figure of the state.
