Does this guy just camp out on the same road and wait for people to crash? He seems to have a lot of them. Good way to make money from Youtube, I suppose.
He's been around for a while. I'm not sure if he has a job or if this is his job and he's making a decent income off it.Originally posted by Darell_n

He has quite the videos... the one where the rider smokes the cyclists from behind is unbelievable.
EDIT: I believe this is Mulholland Highway... AKA "The Snake"

Yeah, a few people do the same at specific corners of the 'Ring.
Somebody should set up shop on Deerfoot Tr and Airport Dr during winter, they'd make a killing.
With how popular that road is and how often there are crashes, he could probably just hang out there on the weekends and capture some crazy shots fairly often.Originally posted by 16hypen3sp

I saw this video on Jalopnik earlier. One of the guys from The Smoking Tire chimed in about the situation.
Sounds like the Ferrari driver and that goof in the BMW on Barlow would be friends.the driver of that 360 is every drivers worst nightmare. I screamed at that guy not two months ago (in front of lots of people, no less) for flagrantly crossing double yellow lines around blind corners with his kid in the car on the exact corner where he crashed the Ferrari. Anyone who knows that road knows that unless, you are not only thoroughly incompetent, but also driving way beyond your car's abilities, you just wouldn't crash on that corner. No one ever crashes there. This idiot was telling people he was a test driver for Jaguar in the UK, meanwhile he manages to oversteer a 360 on a corner where a crash is basically impossible. Now, it is possible he got a blowout, or his brakes/engine/gearbox seized, causing that spin, but as someone who has direct contact with that driver in that exact context nearly every weekend, I point my fingers squarely at that shitbag driving, and repeatedly putting his 10 year old son as well as everyone else he shares the road with in danger.
And regarding the video, some other guy posted:
The guy literally makes a living on that corner. He is there about everyday trying to capitalize on others crashing their cars/bikes ect... He has a youtube channel full of crashes on that corner and stuff.
looks like he oversteered and stayed on the gas out of panic because I don't see any evidence of any brakes being used.
At least the guy checked to see if the driver was okay. I feel like most people filming the crashes would just watch from afar.
He's actually still accelerating as he goes over the hill. He never took his foot off the gas, the only reason for this I could think of is he was attempting to drift around the corner.

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.
Nah, full on lift throttle oversteer at the limit. Enter the downhill corner too hot, lifted off, oversteer, panic, dunno what to do, and bam.
Note that there's no engine sound (he's not on throttle) and the front and rear tires spinning at roughly the same speed, thus not power sliding. You see that clearly in the slow mo.
If that was power oversteer, then that's the quietest 360 I've ever heard.

Old banff coach road has a ton of bikers/car crashes on it. Lots of people who like to haul ass through the corners on that road.
Part out the seats
could be. It just seemed from the video that his rear wheels were getting power when he went over the sand.Originally posted by rage2

Either way - I would love to get on that road one day - definitely on my list the next time I go down to California.
