XCOM Enemy Within- Commander Edition (PS3) - any good?

After some research, overall the game itself reviewed pretty good. The general feeling seems that EW is the same as Enemy Unknown with extra content, extra gameplay features, and, some people say, more bugs (console). I have a PS3. I have never played EU (I played Xcom UFO, Apoc.)

On paper I like the value/contents of the Enemy Within: Commander Edition version. But as of June 2014 what is the status of the bugs? If it still has issues, is EW still worth it?

I'm thinking about just getting Enemy Unknown if it's more stable. Thoughts?

I don't know about bugs, it was fine on my PC. But all I can think about the game since then i that it'd be a perfect ipad game. Kinda like FTL - fun on the PC absolutely, but just meant for tablets.
