Hiller and Backlund were our best players tonight. Really hope our top line can start to produce, we need it big time. Bennett had a solid game as well. C of Red should be able to energize these boys right up.

Nah, sadly the flames are done. The Canucks now have a confident goalie who is going to carry them.

Game 6 will be close, but the flames will lose. Game 7 will be blowout and Vancouver will go on to the next round.

I was hoping an Alberta team would win the cup. The flames definitely have a future.

Unless Calgary changes goalies and gives the young guys a real kick in the ass. Then Calgary will probably win 7 to 4.

well imo it's probably the lack of playoff experience for the young Flamers, we've all been told the 4th win is usually the hardest one to get.

We cant possibly believe the Flames could win this series 4-1 did we?

While I still believe the Flames could win this, the best chance in game 5 has slipped away. Game 6 will still be good given home ice crowd and all, but a game 7 would be very difficult as Vancouver will have all the confidence in the world to match.

Coach need to let these boyz watch the 94' Flames unable to close out the Canucks then and remind them not to let history repeat itself.

No way. Miller has been saying every day that he's not 100% physically. That knee injury will slow him down if we can get more pucks to the net and get him moving laterally.

    Flames in six!

You've got that Assistant Coach on the bench that can tell you in person.

Coaching staff told him to back off. Looked like they all were told, safe game, keep it to the boards and don't get injured.

It sure looked like that after they got the goal. If it happen, great. If not, do it back home. May be they are that confident.

Either that or the hostile environment, I dunno. The energy just wasn't there last night. The good thing is, they lost but they didn't get slaughtered.

Yep. Canucks couldn't manage an empty net goal either.

I've seen it before earlier this year, if they sit on a lead like they were doing, it usually doesn't end well.

Brought a Canucks fan with me to the game. Hoping to make fun of him by the end of the night.
