Flames won 2 straight, Jets and Kings both lost 2 straight. had it been the other way around, i would think the situation will be quite dire.

its funny how quick things can change. it would seem we were in a great position having 3 pts up on LA, but after last night, not only are we only 1 pt up on LA and WPG but that they both have 1 game in hand on us.

Yes we know the tie breaker is huge then again it may not mean as much if we are only up 1 pt on them rather than 2 pts. That 1 pt could very well determine the fate of this season (Columbus game anyone? we had that one until a costly mistake in our own zone costed the game)

Calgary must win both Edmonton and Arizona games. And even then it would only simply set up the crazy finale. I dont think anyone could have written the scripts this way. The two teams the Flames are holding off are the ones they play at the end.

Watching the last two game of the season will be like watching them in game 7 against tampa in 04. Considering we have missed the post season for 5 years, getting in is like winning the cup of our own.

My personal opinion, I think Calgary will finish 8th. on the simple fact that LA will over take calgary, and Winnipeg will not be able to sustain their play against top teams. So when Calgary faces Winnipeg in the final game, the tie breaker would be the difference
