In the news conference he said that this will be a very complex case. I just hope they take their time and make sure that they have everything to get this bastard behind bars.

I worry that the ID theft charge was to buy time. Once he got bailed, I'm sure he's a flight risk and cops went in with what they got.

Because two of the charges are first degree it would suggest there is information regarding premeditation the public hasn't heard yet. Having bodies would be a major plus, but they must have found something that leads them to believe the event was planned.

I mean, honestly... I found it painful to watch as they IMO creatively managed to say nothing of value.

My guess us that there are phone records, text messages voicemails ext. Between parties with threatening comments. And probably traces of DNA in the truck found at the property.

I shudder to think. DNA in drains? A murder site with enough blood that it would be certain death? I keep thinking about this guy being a chemist, previously setting up a Meth lab...and then the scenes from Breaking Bad about getting rid of bodies...

1st Degree is a pretty rare charge, they have to have some serious evidence to go forward with that.

Regarding premeditation, they could have come across some emails or plans perhaps that shows intent?

And Toma, the chief said SEVERAL times he can't go into details about motive, evidence and the person's name because it could jeopardize the ongoing investigation. I'm not sure why him being vague on details is so mysterious. Charging someone with three counts of murder is fucking serious, it's going to be based off of something pretty damn substantial.

I mentioned that earlier. I can't see two First Degree charges unless there's significant evidence the murders were premeditated. My guess is a number incriminating correspondence.

Im thinking the guy came back to the house (and since he was a relation if it was him) he was let in or atleast they opened the door and then he forced them to do something at gun point or knife point. The thing is - the granddad looks like he weighs a fair bit so I dont know how he got that guy into his truck. And wasnt that photo of his truck speeding away, it didnt look like there was anything in the trunk so were they alive?

As for where the bodies are now - is there a pig farm anywhere out in Airdrie?

As for the press conference, the whole thing definetly hits home a bit closer now that I have a little kid myself.

To be fair; any murder committed during a kidnapping is an automatic first degree charge in Canada

Good to know, but that doesn't explain how the 2nd degree charge got in there too. I would imagine if it was related to a kidnapping all 3 would be 1st degree.
