Replacing AC condenser on 2004 Civic

My AC has not been working much/at all, so I decided to get a kit to charge the freon.

Anyhow, charged it up and found a hole in my AC condenser.

Fast forward and I have a new condenser and going to be swapping the old one out shortly, but am wondering about adding AC oil (PAG oil?), how much do I need to add to the system if I'm putting in a new AC condenser? Further, what's the best method to add it?

I'm fairly DIY, but I realize re-charging is best left to a shop. The zinger, I actually do have a vaccum pump from doing fibreglass work, which I believe is required to put vaccum in the system prior to putting in the freon.

So any Honda helpfuls able to give some guidance? Thank you.

I used one of those crappy tire RED-TEK recharge kits, all the freon leaked out when my DD was owned by my brother and he didn't care to fix it, found it was just a faulty valve stem, replaced it and used one of those kits, since all the freon leaked out I didn't have to get a shop to evacuate the system.

The kit is super easy & safe if you follow the directions, there's those horror stories I read before doing it, the regular joe trying to use the kit over fills and damages their compressor or whatever, but again follow the directions and you'll be good to go. I did this in May 2013 to the current DD and it's still blowing cold everytime, also on another car I sold around then as well, both Hondas, both replaced the R134a with this Red-Tek stuff. It pressurized the system no problem

Put in 2 ounces of oil .Vacuum it down for an hour minimum wait and see if the system holds vacuum for at least 15 minutes and then proceed to re-charge.
Look at your capacity for charge amount should be a sticker under the hood.
Green in color i believe.I would use r-134a.
Or you can bring it to Lonestar and pay 900.00.
