Ill be watching urban spoon for reviews.
Lately we've been doing up the all you can Sushi place across Mac trail.
Decent food for $25, obviously you leave just bursting at the seams.

I actually tried this place on the weekend. It quite spacious in there and they use a ipad to do the ordering.
first when we entered they billed themselves as a taiwanese/korean/chinese/japanese all you can eat place. The waitress seated us and told us that we order through a ipad and showed us how to use it. It was quite easy as theres pictures of all the dishes and as easy as pushing +/- to add or subtract items you dont want. after you just hit the submit button check again to make sure everything you ordered is there and say okay and they confirm on the kitchen side.
Saying that sometimes when you are scrolling through the sections, it will think you are hitting an item and mark it down. If you didnt check your order over before submitting you might get items you never ordered, which the tables around us had that happen to them quite often.
the food was average at best, they want to be everything and just do it on average. There is nigiri sushi, sashimi, and hot plates for japanese, and bbq for korean, rice dishes for chinese, and curries for taiwanese?. Overall the selection is quite small, and if your just going for sushi, then it is even more limited. The time it took the dishes to arrive was surprisingly on the fast side, as usual with ayce, some items never made it that were in the order.
the experience overall was good, but this is i believe chinese owned and well some of the service feels like it. We however got a really nice on the ball server but some of the tables by us were looking for theirs.
the price was on par with others i think its like 28 for all you can eat, with a 10% off if you use credit card and 20% off for cash.
it was a different experience but i have to say i wont be back. id give it a 5/10 overall
side note, the deep fried cheese wonton was actually pretty good
I dunno how legit the reviews are on Yelp, lots of "1 review" members on there. Actual member reviews have poor taste based on their other reviews, so I am leaning on the side of believing jahobo's review.
There's other ways of paying? Like a cheque???Originally posted by jahobo

we stopped by for lunch today, it was $17. I'd say the selection was pretty big, the server said there is 100 items on the menu.Originally posted by jahobo

There was no sashimi for lunch, the food came out VERY fast, and we got all of our orders. Food was average as expected.
interesting... so the only way you pay full price is debit? seems weird you get a discount on CC.. if anything they should give a deal for cash/debit and no discount for CC.Originally posted by jahobo

also, as far as I know this isn't allowed... moneris or whoever their acquirer is could take away their machines if they catch them

lol, its still common in small town Sask, but here in the big city, nobody pays with cheques anymore. Lots of older people still prefer it though, why? I dont know. I can finish a debit transaction in about 1/4 the time as it takes to sit there and write out a cheque.

Why do you need 100 items?
So what's the concensus?
Better or worst than sushi BBQ inn?
seeing as macleod sushi and bbq is in close proximity to this place, which one would you rather go to?

I am going to try this place out tonight - wife said to try for her mother's birthday. (she heard good things from her friends so I dunno)
Will report back later.

Went there tonight.
Food was average, again they want to be everything and just do it average.
Overall selection is decent IMO - Service is actually pretty good, orders are fast except for the sushi stuff.
Deep fried milk / banana and their ice cream - mango, green tea, chocolate and vanilla are good.
Paid cash and asked for the discount - they gave me 10% (Didn't get 20% but I didn't question them. lol) My kid ate free under 3 yrs old.
Would I go back? Maybe but not for a while.
I can't handle all you can eat too often.

thanks for the feedback. how much is regular price?
