Has anyone ever done the 100 dollar try a kart day? I wonder if they would be able to book 2-3 guys in it sounds like a blast.
Would love to drive a properly quick kart which is a bit more unforgivable.. Speeders the brake might as well not exist for most of their configurations.
Not sure i would actually want to drop money on and store a go kart for real though...

I'm booked for July 3rd. I've done Allen bergs course before and it was fun but pricey. We have 4 guys in our group should be fun we might buy karts if we really like it and have time to do it.
Yes and no, they've got some pretty strict nose guidelines from what I understand...and they've already got some complainers in the vicinity.Originally posted by killramos
I wonder if it would be easier for them to buy additional land and build a road course now that they already exist.
Expansion vs whole new noisy facility?

Man, I remember renting the fast karts up at Kart Gardens when it existed on the north side of the airport and would my kidneys and various other stuff hurt after a few longer sessions. Lots of fun though, way better than Speeders.Originally posted by killramos

Time to buy a kart. Must be cheaper than modding a car.
Right?
RIGHT!?
I was a track rat back in the old Kart Gardens Airport days. These karts have even more power and more grip than those ones. They make speeders kart feel like Power wheels.Originally posted by speedog

Vid from the old track Allen Berg school. Assuming they're doing the same kinda karts here.
vs Speeders Pro Karts.

Agreed, speeders feels like powerwheels compared to the Allen Berg karts. If I recall correctly, the engines were tuned by Cosworth? and revved up to 9-11,0000 RPM
Curse you imageshack..
I did the Allen Berg course a couple years ago, the cheapo one from the Groupon deal, it was damn fun but damn, never try to trail back in those little karts unless you know what you're doing, back end comes out so quickly.
Actually I've been to their test days several times. These are quick karts, Speeders are no comparison. Even the Allen berg karts are not as fast as the rotax karts on the test days.Originally posted by rage2

The guys out there are a great group and love the sport. Highly recommended.
I thought so too. But no.Originally posted by flipstah

Bump.
I did the 'Try a Kart' program on Saturday and it was a total blast. You do two 10 minute sessions behind an instructor and a 3rd open lapping session for 10 minutes.
If you have experience, the instructor goes fast enough that the first two sessions become like an open lapping session. So much fun and well worth the money

I do get great service there, especially when I mention my name, haha.
I thought their last Try a Kart was on August 15th. Is there a hidden schedule somewhere?
EDIT: Ah, overflow.
