Good mortgage broker recommendations? Reviews on Canadian Mortgage Professionals?

I had a sit down meeting with Canadian Mortgage Professionals and was quite impressed with them:

Just wondering if anyone has any experience dealing with them? Any bad experiences? Im always skeptical, but for this new house Im buying I would like to consider the option of going with a broker instead of with the bank and seeing what benefits they might offer.

Recommendations on other mortgage brokers would be great also. First time dealing with a broker, so tips would be great too.

There are two or three mortgage brokers who are members here. In fact two of them have threads in this sub-forum advertising current rates.
Both of them have excellent reputations.

This exactly.

Todd Purcell is who did my mortgage. He was excellent. I've referred many people to him over the years that say the same.

I have not worked with Tim Lacroix but many members on here have had great experiences with him.

IMO they are who the OP should be on the phone with first.

the Purcell's recently did my mortgage for me as well. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Todd Purcell and group did an excellent job for my land loan. Got me a rate that was half of what the other guy could get and very quick.
