The problem is you drive a Domestic! j/k

This happens only when you turn left?? could be some bearings or CV joints maybe?

You have rear drum brakes, right? The shoes could be grinding on the drum. We've had that problem on our explorer.

When's the last time you replaced the oil in your rear diff?? Pull the rear cover off and drain the mo-fo. While it's off, check to see if you see any metal fragments sitting in the bottom of the housing or in the oil.

Usually not. The diff is a rather low maintance item, i think 50 or 100 000k is normal between fluid changes for it. Drain the fluid, then run a magnet through it to check for metal deposits. If there's a lot you've found your problem and will probably need a new rear end. the more i think about it tho the more i doubt that this is your problem. it would be really strange for the rear end to go on basically a one year old car, they are pretty beefy setups and your not exactly running a whole lot of power through it. But if you have jacked around with it, doing one wheel spinouts on ice etc. then it very well could be the problem. Check the easy things first tho, like the bearings, and then work from there. Oh and one more thing. If you have hit a curb or something recently it could be that your rim is damaged, or your tire could be out of round. Those would also cause vibrations but i think u would feel it more then just when you turn left.

Warning: Don't get diff fluid on you because you will smell like shit for a like a week.

before taking off cap just remove the fluid screw with a ratchet. Check the end of that as it is maganatized.

it would still be under warrenty would it not? I work at gm, and i see so many astros/safaris in the shop having rear end work.. usually ring gear needs replacement.. The blazers are that common in the shop for that.. i think the biggestthing right now is the damm caddy catera.. goes through engines like babys go though diapers

Hopefully it's not your rear diff, If it's 4wd you might want to

check the front diff, and transfer case fluid to, If it gets to low

your diff will lock up and send you in a spin, possiblly killing you

    and other people!!!......(worst case)..

usually Gm dosm't check the diff unless you ask, GM's you usually

have to change the fluid every 24-48k, dodge every 19k, and ford

every 100k due to a limited slip 75w-140 synthetic fluid..

also check your pinion seal for leaks, the usually starts to leak on

    GM's after 40k......
