Lately the term genocide has been used to describe the current crisis in Gaza. When I think about the Palestinian casualties of the current Gaza-Israel conflict I can't help but think of one of most recent instances of genocide in modern times. The sheer numbers alone in the Yugoslav/Bosnian war should put the current conflict into perspective.

"It was July 11th, 2002, the seventh anniversary of the worst atrocity of the Bosnian War, the massacre of more than 7,000 Muslim men and boys by Bosnian Serb forces near the town of Srebrenica which, just two years before the massacre, had been declared a United Nations Safe Area."
Lets hope the truce between Israel and Hamas lasts.
