    I purchased my 2 liftmaster 8500 from:

    http://www.overheaddoorparts.ca/

Was very nice to deal with and pricing was really good. I ordered alot of the extras, and he gave me a discount/freebee on a remote

I have a couple installers that I met when they installed my garage door.

They subcontract through garage door companies, and have their contact info if you're interested

Tony from Best Doors Inc. called me back this (long weekend Sunday) morning.

He sounded knowledgeable and the rates seemed reasonable, so I invited him over. Tony arrived an hour later in a nice new truck and with a professional demeanor.

The one cable was entirely off, and he could have easily told me I needed a new cable which he quoted over the phone at $45/pair.

Tony reinstalled the existing cable, replaced a bent hinge, adjusted, and lubricated the inoperative door. In addition, he adjusted, lubricated, and replaced some missing screws on the other 2 garage doors for a grand total of $158.

Overall, I am happy with the experience and the work Tony did.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Uber bump for Andy L... been an Andy fanboy for a few years. Andy had to hop outta the business, so couldn't do a review, or irrelevant to make one. But now that door master is back.

This about 2011 ish, Andy did jackshaft for parents old house. Liftmaster 3800 unit

This was 2013... the house I bought, the garage builder just rigged the door for a flip... so it was completely off level, wouldn't open properly. Andy got that sorted out.

Took me 2 years to save up enough, since I'm not a Beyond baller, working at my blue collar job. Andy back out again, doing 2 Liftmaster jackshaft 8500

^^ How much do one of those units cost? And how much for install? Building garage right now and I'd definitely want to skip the chain drive system and go for that bad boy.

From the supplier Andy suggested, $422 shipped to your door. For install, can't speak on Andy behave since IMO every installs different.

Andy came by today to repair my garage door opener. Was punctual, professional and got the job done quickly. No nickel and diming at all, was very happy with the work he did!
