Clawfoot Plumbing Advice

We have a clawfoot tub in our house where the shower head is connected by a flexible hose to the faucet and mounted on an arm from the wall so it extends into the middle of the tub.

The arm/showerhead combo sucks, it's wobbly, unstable, etc. We are remodeling the bathroom, and keeping the tub, and ideally I'd like to find a hand shower that I can mount up high, so it can be used as a fixed shower head or detached.

I'm curious if there are any mounts that would take a supply from below at the faucet but still mount onto some kind of pipe so I can have a nice rigid arm to hold the shower head into the middle of the tub.

Buying a proper rigid setup would be like $1000 or more, so I'd prefer finding a solution with what I have.

Any ideas for me?

Something like this without the bottom water line would work. I could mount a shower pipe to the wall, put this on the end and done. Even if I had to find a cap for the water outlet it would look ok, but if there is something less ghetto, I'm in:

What about going with copper pipe features outside the wall?

Or get them powdercoated black or even plasti dip would work.

My parent's have a similar grohe one on one of their showers like what bookem posted and it always slides down. You can tighten it but still a pain. Could be because it's in their steam shower and the steam.

The home depot one wouldn't reach out far enough from the wall into the tub.

I like the exposed pipe idea, I just cant think of a way to attach it to the existing faucet, as the outlet is on the bottom and it would take a few bends to get to the shower head.
