    Default Looking for an Architect

Looking for personal recommendations on a local Calgary or Calgary area architect to do plans for a new build. Would prefer to have someone with experience in rural building/ lake lots as this will be a waterfront retirement home. Also need someone familiar with ICF building techniques and green building background. We have lots of ideas of what we want to see we just need someone to make the plan come to life.

Edy Ongpin of Ongpin and Associates.

He's made some really great designs for me.

If you push further into the green building idea, let me know. I'm connected with a small firm (husband & wife) who is LEED certified.

We have a builder chosen already who has used ICF for a long time. Our property is located west of Edmonton and the drafter/ architect they normally use is located in Drayton valley. We were hoping to get someone a little closer that we could meet one on one with more frequently.

We used Ed Gallagher, based here in Calgary and he was fabulous for the house we built in Pump Hill. Not excessively priced either.

However, if you have a little extra cash, Catherine Chernoff would be my pick. Fabulous designs from this woman

We normally use john trinh & associates. No complaints so far and his prices are very good.
