Logitech UE6000 work greatOriginally posted by idriveabox
Sorry to hijack but what does everyone recommend for a long flight (HK)? Looking for noise cancel and comfort.
I'd agree, except that I still think that NC is gimmicy.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Bose QC15's are pretty much unbeatable for noise cancellation and comfort... wouldn't take another long haul flight without them.
My Martin Logan headphones isolate as good as my audio technica's without requirng microphones and AAA batteries
Thanks I'll check out the logitech. Bose are too spendy for occasional use but look nice. Any thoughts on the sennheiser HD 280 pro?
Haven't heard the ML's yet but until you've tried active NR, I wouldn't say it's gimmicky at all; it does work and the Bose are especially good at it. Keep in mind the tighter the seal, the hotter they got and the more uncomfortable headphones become. Another side benefit to active NR is built in amps.Originally posted by r3ccOs

Also for your recommendation of Beyers, they are stupidly uncomfortable (at least for me) and your velour pads can still make you sweat.
Hmm.. Senns. Yes! Buy my pair...Originally posted by idriveabox

as far as NC? I dunno, I have had both the ATH7NC and the 9NC, which are very comparable to BOSE (if not better in SQ now with the 9) but still far from being a high-quality set of can, an only marginally improve isolation to good passive cans or ETYs and custom IEMs
Yeah you're probably right on that one. Most people love the HD800 but I can only keep them on my head for maybe 30 mins max. I think my head is just really sensitive LOL.Originally posted by r3ccOs

Hey, necro bump, looking for a set of noise isolating (but not cancelling) headphones for extended use in an office environment. Trick is they need to be a little bit lightweight, because they are for a little woman, who finds most "large" headphones too heavy for her.
Kind of similar to the OP, sound quality isn't top of the list. Wearing comfort and light weight is.
Fucking cubicle life . . .

I picked up a set of Bose Truesound II a few months ago, I like them, they are an over the ear style, I have not found them to be uncomfortable after hours of gaming with them.
Anyone know if these are any good? Difficult to find any info on them but they seem like a decent deal:

Would they be better than a Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro?
I just picked these up!!Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

I ordered them too, for a $100 what the hell. I can always return them if I don't like them. Seem like decent bang for the buck and now that I find myself needing headphones for TV later at night I need a pair anyways.Originally posted by HiSpec

Yah those look good. Didn't know they even made a closed version. Looks like leather instead of velour earpads though.

I've used these for almost 8 years now, on my third pair.
Now, I don't know what "light" means, but they are ridiculously comfy, forget they are in my ears. Block most noise, but not all. Did I mention comfy? They also aren't like "ear buds" where they go directly into your ear, f*&king hate that. These kind of just "rest" in your ear.
Looks like they are discontinued, but Bose has others that look similiar:

Oh, I was looking for over-ear type, not in-ear. But good option.

They have replaceable velour pads (or something that isn't leather). They aren't as nice as the H800S pads, not too surprising.Originally posted by schocker

They sound great, very happy for $100. Definitely better than my Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros (which I use as a gaming headset for Skype haha).
Comfy to wear, at least for me. They also say "special edition."
