Thankfully was able to reserve it
I prefer the 5s size but the battery life on 5s isn't enough for me

Rumor is that China will keep the iPhone 6 ban in place until end of the year earliest.Originally posted by BensonTT
In a month, I bet you there will be a shitload of people trying to trade the 6+to the 6 on Kijiji.. lol
It's gonna be hot til next year.
Crazy how much money is made on the black/grey market for iphones. Dozens of phones in bags probably all destined for China.

I had a 6plus coming to me tomorrow from our telus rep but since a lot of people are saying its huge I had to go check it out today. Huge describes it perfectly lol. That thing is massive and so awkward to handle. I think for most people the 6 plus is just too big. I switched to the 6 and have to agree with whomever said there will be tons of the 6 plus for sale soon. There's gotta be a lot of buyers remorse going on for the people who ordered it without holding it first.
^ I find it huge as well, but i liked it a lot once i held it. Felt good in the pocket too... Not sure if i'd take it over the standard 6, but i definitely liked it more then i thought i would.
What type of cases are you guys using for the iphone?
It is big, but I like it. I think my iPad will start to collect dust. Now they just have to start scaling apps properly.
Case? It's big enough as it is!

Not illegal to sell the phones. But I'd suspect this is a form of money laundering.Originally posted by GQBalla

I could see that. My cousin in HK told me people from China are paying cash.Originally posted by asd913

It's hard to prove though.
I was in Chinook this weekend so I walked past the hilarious lineup to check out the new iPhones.
Honestly it's the first iPhone that has felt cheap to me, not sure if it was the ugly plastic lines, the lighter weight, or what. Just felt off, even though I know they are fairly well made. I liked the way the glass kind of spills over the edge, and they are quite thin.
The 6 plus is HUGE. It seemed unnecessarily large with those top/bottom bezels. I really think they should have changed the design, at least somewhat. Hopefully I can live with the size, we will see. I would say it's not front-pocket friendly for most people. Obviously it will be nice to work with on your desk or whatever but carrying it around everywhere will be interesting. I felt like it could have been a lot shorter top to bottom.
The 6 is a better overall size, no surprise there, but with these phones growing, it really accentuates those over sized bezels wasting space (most bigger phones are guilty of this). Screen on the 6 is average IMO, but still nice and bright with good colors.
I also noticed the phones were a little laggy. I opened/closed the email app, safari, iMessage, and played with as many different apps as I could. Everything took a full 1-2 seconds to load. Might have just been the display software, or the fact that so many people were fiddling with them and it only has 1GB RAM. I expected everything to be pretty much instant, but it definitely wasn't, at least on the display devices.
Overall impression was very "meh". If I had a 5S already I don't think I'd be upgrading. I'm still on the list for the 6+, but the thing is gigantic and it might be too big to be practical as a work phone (for me at least). Definitely going to try it out though.

I would think that the 6+ is going to eat into ipad mini sales for sure.Originally posted by benyl

Preliminary benchmark results from anandtech:

Looks like the overall web browsing experience is going to be better on the 6/6+ than any other phone on the market.
Gaming, not so much apparently.
Walked by a Fido kiosk and asked them if they happen to have any in stock. Had just one 128 gig space grey there, I wanted 64 gig but said what the hell. Was still like 1400 on the reservation list. lol
Pre-ordered a 6+ 64gb from Telus - still 4-5 weeks away :-(
I checked out both phones over the weekend and the 6+ looked and felt great while the regular 6 felt kind of small. I have pretty big hands though and I've gotten used to the Samsung Note 2 - the 6+ is a bit taller / thinner when you compare them side by side.
Looks like some decent prices on kijiji for the regular 16gb iPhone - $780-790 which is pretty much retail after taxes

Go Flames!
For those of u with the iPhone 6, how does battery life compare to the 5s?
Mini is way cheaper and has wifi only option.Originally posted by heavyD

Plus it's still more comfortable for reading books on 8" than on 5.5".
I don't think Mini sales will drop by much.
I've had the 6 three days now - it's a great phone - just buggy with ios8, unfortunately.
