Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Bow trail hill just West of Sarcee was a nightmare. Cars stuck halfway up, spinning tires etc.
The Outback with Goodyear Ultra Grip's had no issues at all.
Don't forget your hazards. They are real useful to remind people that you are in Canada.
There are still 5-10 cars stuck on the "hill" (can't really even call it that) directly out front of my house spinning their tires. I listened to one Nissan Cube rev the hell out of his engine and spin the tires for about 45 minutes. I would have tried to push the miserable bastard but my knee is wrecked.
I love having 4WD and great tires.. snow storms always puts a huge smile on my face
I gave up trying to go around all the idiots who wondered why they are stuck.Originally posted by Pacman

I even rolled down and yelled at some people as I went by, "get winter tires"
I've noticed so much of this. Lots of vehicles that are capable of getting unstuck but fail due to operator incompetenceOriginally posted by nixon45

Deerfoot was f*cked though.. Deerfoot Meadows looking south on Deerfoot I could see Northbound was dead stopped bumper to bumper. Checked 660 and something up on Calf Robe - So I figure I'll snake around and take 17th to Deerfoot NB. Left around 3:45pm. Horrible idea...horrible. Took 2 & 1/2 hours LOL. I can't imagine what it was like later on at 6pm.
I had an Audi for years, but it was as heavy as a fucking panzer. Nice and light saabaru feels much better in these conditions.
I took s/b blackfoot at around 6:20, and there were emergency crews blocking off both lanes about 500m before the Deerfoot ramps, sucked for the north bound folk, that's for sure.
Only took me 10 minutes longer to get home from the airport to Heritage/Macleod.
Just got home. Crowfoot is ok. Bridge decks are super fuckin icy. 4WD and nokian Hakka 7 still slid a bit. Stoney trail is just fucked.
Submaker.Illest.
Friend heading East on Glenmore by Sheppard industrial park got smucked by a dbag driving a white pickup truck, who took off ..... well done sir
Weird, was able to get around quite fine in either of our vehicles in Calgary today both which happen to be shod with all seasons. Did stop to help push some drivers stuck on hills on vehicles shod with winters, guess sometimes the tires do not benefit the driver inside.
Will fuck off, again.
Yeah getting up to the hill was retarded. Once I was on the hill I was fine, quattro and winter tires FTW! I don't understand people who think they can get by with all seasons in this city.Originally posted by snowcat

Went out for a drive around the nw, counted 8 dumbass people with no lights on. The worst was a guy driving 25 with no lights or tail lights on northmount drive.
^ too bad the CPS is too busy dealing with accidents than to ticket these dumbasses who know nothing about winter driving (like no headlights)
I saw some neighbors doing a move today, looked miserable.Originally posted by Cos
Probably about the worst possible day to move houses. Temp dropped to 7 degrees in the house at one point. Got an ice cream headache holding the door for the movers.
I've moved in snow, but never with this windchill.
My shop was super cold today, took till noon for it to warm up past 10c
I kept getting wheel hop off the line is this somthing I should investigate? Never happend before

Just got to sunshine. Watch out on the corners on Highway 1 but most of it was fine. I did a mix of 80k/h to 110 depending on conditions. It only got bad once you hit Yumanuska.
If you get angry at my post please re-read as a joke or sarcasm.
