    Default Winter car storage

What are you guys using for indoor winter car storage? Not interested in using a strangers garage, must be secured parking.

Found the indoor place out by Dewinton but it's indoor and heated (which would be awesome) but it's $220/month or $1000/year so it's a little pricey.

Does the place in Dewinton allow work on vehicles?

    Unfortunately not.

Dewinton place for $1000 isn't looking that bad. Seems most other storage places are $200-$300/month anyways.

Last option is to park the beater outside all winter and get a car starter. Not ideal.

No kidding. Take a look at the cost of warehouse space (approx $13/square foot). Figure the average car takes 150 square feet of space - or 2 cars if you have lifts. So you pay $1950 for the space and at $2000 per year that he is charging you wouldn't have much left over. Car storage is expensive because real estate is expensive.

Specialty is the best in the area - fyi David doesn't have much space left. I was going to the put the Mustang there but I bought a big shed and cleaned out the garage instead.

Prices look reasonable but they sure don't give out much info on their facility/location from their website.

Im not sure this is within the rules, but a friend of mine has been storing cars over the past few winters, I believe he was charging $200 a month and it was 5 mins from the DT core. Heated/Secure/No working on your car. Garage holds about 13 cars, not sure how many are currently booked.

I can pass along info via PM if anyone wants...

Sounds like someone has divided their unit at The Dens into a series of stalls and is renting them out.

Most places will not give out location details for security reasons. Call them if you have specific questions.
