Default Restaurant With Vegan Options in Downtown Core

    Hey guys,

I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm just wondering if any of you know of a restaurant in the downtown core that has good vegan/veggie options. I know most places do have stuff that vegans can eat but it's mostly just their plain salads.

Looking for a place to take a client out to for lunch. So no dives but doesn't need to be high end.

    Thanks!
    Anton

A member of my family is vegan, vegetarian is a very different bird. You should find out if the client is vegan or veggie (there are a few divisions of this as well). Basically, vegans do not use, wear or eat anything from animals or the labour of living things. Honey for example comes from bees, therefore vegans don't use it.

Yes, she is vegan. I was just saying vegetarian because sometimes places that have a lot of vegetarian options will be able to accommodate a vegan.

How ironic would it be if a vegan got offended about not having anything to eat for lunch other than a salad...

If a chef burns his hand while grilling an eggplant does that count as animal suffering or labour?

Downtownfood 628 8th Ave SW. Have to specifically ask for the vegan menu but it's not bad. I've taken a vegan friend there a few times.

The vegan drives a BMW, the irony is not lost at all. Frankly, she always looks like she could use a good steak.

Service was shit last time I was here, included an extremely long wait for our food due to a "broken dish on the line"-our appetizers were raw, how long does it take to cut up some new vegetables?? And waiter was wearing a tank top (visible pit hair) and flip flops. Won't be back.

As someone above mentioned: Ambrosia Restaurant is a great option. It is located just beneath the Buddhist Temple in Downtown.

BMW only recently started using leather seats in higher end trims as standard. Even now lower end trims don't have leather as standard.
