So is there anywhere within 4 hours of Calgary that isn't half open and complete shit conditions? I am coming up, and I do not like what I see

Yeah, it's not looking good. I'm hoping there's a big dump Jan-Feb.
Make the drive to Revy. Looks like it'll be snowing all week.

The X5 i bought earlier this year really is FULLY LOADED though not a single option missing including infrared night driving
Last 2 weekends at Louise have been alot of fun. The entire mountain is open. Only spot you might hit some rocks is a few bowls on the backside. Other than that Louise is looking really good right now

Going out to Whistler for NYE. On our way out we are stopping at silverstar and on our way back we are going to bigwhite. You can follow my trip at www.twoplanksworldwide.com if any of you are at the mountains when i am. Feel free to send me a pm and we can ski together.
No new snow? Ride park...
I was thinking about it (coming from that way anyway), but then I saw how low the base elevation of revy is, and the incoming dump apparently means rain down there.Originally posted by zipdoa

Fun day at Louise yesterday. It had snowed a little and there was some wind which the trees trapped pretty good, ended up finding some good snow all over and even got a few face shots! Hoping for some more dumps and then the coverage will be awesome

is it usually pretty busy on christmas eve?
Heading out to Louise tomorrow, and hoping it won't be too busy. Also looks like Whitefish has been getting pretty good dumps lately. Hoping it continues all the way up to January when I head down there.
Probably heading to louise tomorrow too, snowfall warning is on
Finally some decent weather. No more of this high temp no snow crap we have been getting for most of December. Bring on the cold and snow.

I just came back from a motor vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada. Tthe driver lost control due to high rate of speed. wanted to make first chair. now land rover is being towed and they are SOL.
The sanders have just come out. So be careful as it's slippery under the pow.
depends what day it falls on. It's been a little slower but statistically. it's slow. if Christmas falls on a weekend. be prepared for up to 45 min wait times. and riducolus walking due to the full parking lots. on dec 26-30th for the sunshine gondola and 15-25 min for the lake Gondola (better to head up grizzly, top of the world then down the back bowls.)Originally posted by JfuckinC

Christmas day is pretty quiet. people with families usually don't get out til 11am. Dec 26 and 27th are busiest days of the year then 27th 28th are a close second. I stay on call as it's usually a high traffic corridor i.e. speeding/accident central.
New Years day is also really quiet. I can pretty much hit all the first chair on the backside of the lake, as the drunks don't get up til afternoon.
