I agree, it sucked compared to All.I.CAN.

Julian Carr's air Jordan drop was absolutely insane and there was no build up to it in the movie. No heavy hitting music, no anticipation, just this weird old dude from the Himalayas.

I couldn't stand 'Into the Mind" I thought it was god awful. When I saw it at freshtival last year we yelled out "when does the skiing start?!?!?" about 10 minutes in. I hated all the weird shaman/guru slo mo stuff. They took 25 minutes of good skiing and ruined it by making the movie over an hour long.

In better news, just booked a trip to Baker in feb! been wanting to go for years so I am amped to get out there. I hope it pukes!

What's everyone's take on ski shop services these days?
Need to get some bindings mounted to new skis.
Sports Rent seems to have the best price so far, but wasn't my first idea (being a rental shop and all).

PS: 4Frnt Skis with 4Frnt/Tyrolia bindings

Fresh, Ski Cellar are the places I would go. No idea on pricing now a days but at the same time bindings are the last thing I want some un experienced person working on.


Was out at Louise today, was really fun. Did a bunch of top to bottom runs, some fun snow off the Platter, the snow fences made for some really fun lines. Knee felt really good jumping off anything I could find. Body felt mid season today which was awesome!

Have to agree about all i can, they went wayyyyy too far on the artsy stuff that you can hardly even call it a ski movie.

Supervention, Claim and Few Words are some pretty decent ones if I recall.

I manage Sports Rent and would say we are one of the most experienced ski shop in Calgary. There are only 3 people here that mount customer bindings and all 3 of us have been working in the ski industry for over 10 years.
We are a licensed and certified Head/tyrolia shop as well as nordica/rossignol/ saloon/atomic.

I go to Ski Cellar in MacLeod. Nice people and they helped me get started so I'm loyal to them.
