What's everyone's favorite movies to watch before they go riding?
^^Point Break, "Like totally rad, dude"
was at Louise saturday, good to get back on the sticks for a few runs. It was a little cool in the am but warmed up a bit, was nice to be riding in the sun. Cant wait for more to open, stoked to get out a bunch this year!

Can't wait to hit Louise. It's a bit of a psych or me since that's where I blew my acl and I've only skied/ridden at Louise a handful of times since. Sunshine is getting to be more marketing than an enjoyable experience. Go time is March so looks like I'm gonna take what I can get at Sunshine for now but next season, gonna have to get over my Louise-O-Phobia lol
Pretty epic movie. Some unreal footage.
9/10 but I think if you were high as balls it would be like 14/10 haha some crazy camera effects
Can't wait to get out to the hills
ehhh saw it last year at freshtival and was really disappointed. After about halfway it got all gay and preachy. It was my least favorite movie last year
edit: Claim gets me stoked, love that movie. Although the McConkey scene is a bit awkward

Anyone have any recommendations for two-way radios under $150? I have a habit of always exploring through trees and end up separated from the pack. We have always just bought some really cheap radios from Walmart and those never last. Or will most radios act the same where they won't be able to transmit because of all the trees/ridges/etc. in the way?
Just decide with your friends what lift you are going to next and you will never get lost again.Originally posted by almerick

Yep we usually set the meeting points at certain times. But we would split off into multiple groups due to the variations in skill levels and interests, so we would radio-in to check up on the others. Having the radios is nice in cases of emergencies if someone gets injured or lost. Even just letting your friends know you're alright after getting stuck in deep powder and taking forever to claw your way out.Originally posted by lasimmon

I just picked up a set of Midland GXT1000VP4 off Amazon... haven't had a chance to try them yet. Also heard the cobra CXR925 is really good (but not waterproof).
This only works out if you know the hill 100%. Looking at maps you think theres only 1 way down but ive been into trees and ended up at a complete different chair then intended. And like almerick ive gotten stuck in waist deep pow that took me forever to dig out of.Originally posted by lasimmon

Are the hills good this weekend or still wait it out?

Louise was ok, shear ice by 2 today, I'm sure with a weekend crowd it'll be a skating rink by 11. Anything off piste is just dust on rocksOriginally posted by flipstah
