Padded compression shorts

I've checked out the usual sport clothing stores like Sport Chek, Footlocker etc, but I can't seem to figure out where to buy these in town. I'm a bit leery buying them on line since you can't try them on for size.

FYI, they're basically a spandex undershorts with padding on the thighs and hip areas for impact protection.

Try somewhere like Bow Cycle or Cyclepath? My boyfriend got a pair for DH mountain biking, and that's where we found them.

Thanks, but those sound like cycling shorts that are padded in the groin area I or are they actually padded on the outer thigh area?

Adrenaline Source for Sports on MacLeod has them for hockey - I'd assume Tuxedo Source for Sports has them too. As does Professional Skate.

Sweet. That's not what I was expecting. When I asked a few places about padded shorts they pointed me to cycling shorts with padding in the crotch area.
