Niseko, Japan for snowboarding

Anyone ever been there for snowboarding? Going in January and looking for any tips or suggestions.

Will be staying near the Moiwa ski resort.

That is on my bucket list. Snowboard in Hokkaido.

Go in february. Stay in Niseko at Owashi lodge, day trip to Rusutsu.

The best runs ive ever done in my life. Perfectly spaced trees, steep, untouched powder everywhere. All the locals stay on the groomers.

I literally did 20+ top to bottom runs, didnt even want to stop for lunch.

hirafu has a nice park too. Not a lot of vertical but good riding instrawberry fields and elsewhere.

Flew to Saporro, you can either train or bus to niseko.

I had arrived in Sapporo late at night and booked into some cheapo hotel, then booked a bus to Niseko for the next morning.

You should have your passport revoked for going to Niseko and hitting groomers

I upgraded in 2011. The $110 liquid was still rocking it. I still have the same bindings.

Cool we fly into Tokyo on the 31 then will be in Niseko from the 3-8 then heading farther up North off the beaten path a little. We are staying at One Niseko Resort, where are you staying?

Exactly where I'm staying hahah. Got a sweet deal from expedia, I think it was around $60 a night per person

I was there last year, it was awesome. Annapuri is where we spent most of our time. Go out of the gates and have a topo map with you as well as avi gear. The night skiing is awesome as well, they have SERIOUS lights. There's an awesome onsen behind the resort area you can tour to which is really good and good touring up behind it as well. I'll go back one day for sure. The food is outstanding. Niseko is pretty expensive as far as Japan went. There are TONS, TONS of aussies. You think we have an infestation, just wait till Niseko.

How much is it? I'd rather go to Niseko, but Nagano area seems much more accessible. Also, snow monkeys.
