cheap parking

Hello everyone,

Any body know cheap parking in downtown calgary ? we just moved tp skyview, i know there is a park and ride at the train station, isnt usaully full ? please advise if you know anywhere we could get a cheap parking spot,.

If you get to the Mcknight/Westwinds Park and Ride by 8AM, you should be able to find a spot.

If not, you can just drive an extra 5min to the Whitehorn Station Park and Ride and you'll always be able to find a spot there.

what's your parking budget? Cheap is relative. I seriously doubt any spot will charge for less than $300 a month in the core.

Calgary downtown is consistently rated one of the most expensive places to park on the continent.
Park at one of the outer park-n-ride c-train stations. Hope you like waking up early.

I mentioned this before but my colleague gets to the Casino by Stampede Park by 5:45 am and there are a dozen or so spots there on the street that is unmarked.

This will help a lot. The park and ride is low cost but you pay by having to smell still drunk indians the whole ride to work.

When i first moved this way i did a ton of research so if you can provide a place, i should be able to tell you the cheapest place to park.

For now, I'm parking in a shitty impark gravel lot kinda between the Keynote towers (12ave SE). It sucks, but it's only $220..

Where in downtown? and how cheap do you expect "cheap" to be?

Best bets for "cheap" parking would be:
- Beltline (Centre 10 had a promo rate a couple months ago - not sure if it's still available, or First on tenth is $285 for monthly but it's super ghetto)
- Kijiji - lots of spots for $250-$300 in the older West End (6th Ave 10 St) condos, Riverfront Pointe, or the apartments by Rocky Mountain Plaza)

No idea where your work is, but if you keep an eye out on Kijiji (maybe set up an alert), you can often find underground heated spots in the Victoria park area condos for $200ish a month.

I was paying $150 for a spot in Keynote for 2 years, up until this spring...that was a sweet deal.

or there's this for $150 if you're okay with surface.

$150 for a spot in keynote is awesome.

Only thing about me getting something off kijiji, is it might be a little tougher to expense it through work (I don't actually pay for it). Also, I'm on a secondment right now so I'm only at this office til Dec. I think I'm just gonna tough it out until I know where I'll be in the new year.

Yeah but then when you try to go home your car likely won't be there anymore.

i heard underground parking near the lounge burger was really cheap...150-180 a month
i use to park at keynote underground but they kept jacking up the prices so traded my parking pass for a bus pass

The West Park surface lot nearby is $10 or $12 per day for early bird. So I don't see how underground would do $180/month with in/out privilege.
