My latest 3D... I'll be adding the Birdcage concepts rear features and also make the rear fenders more masculine on the outside.
I still ike this alot too...

My latest concept... this may be the final design.
I actually thought that was a joke until it became painfully obvious it wasn't.Originally posted by 01RedDX
Still one of my favorites, the "test run"
So Arash - I actually think your latest designs (whatever they happen to be based on) look pretty decent. It's the presentation that sucks, as these models are not refined examples. There are nodes and facets everywhere. Why not clean them up THEN display them to the forum? You might actually gain just a tiny (and I do emphasize "tiny") amount of cred on here.
Or, you know... actually MAKE the thing. Despite all the hatred on here for you, you'll actually raise some eyebrows if you ever manage to make anything in real life that looks halfway presentable. I know this sort of thing takes time... but let's face it - this has been in the works for a very long time.
Just one question: In your latest designs it is, instead of some body tweaking, a full re-do. You're looking to cut the roof off the 300zx and replace it with a full canopy-style greenhouse... is that about right?
There's a 3D "coat" program I can use to unify everything then run it in a program called T-Splines to get really clean surfaces... but that would take lots of time. I could just get it semi smooth enough, cut it out on foam, and hand patch any major problems.Originally posted by Kloubek

I find CCX front really masculine.. I will probably keep to that for my mid engine toy design then;Originally posted by Kloubek

setup the CNC in the van
carve it
make a 1/5 scale toy
Then I will use the CCX look only for the front of the ZX kit... leaving the rest of the body stock. It should be an easy bolt on to the existing hood and fenders.
The ZX and older mid engine design
