I'd say Bangkok. Interesting night life, and old ruins/structures to see. Very hot.
Probably Hong Kong ...on vacation there now so I'll give my reasons why when back in Calgary
If we are talking (big) city - then Hong Kong and/or Bangkok.
Both because they are always 'bustling' (things to do, see, eat, party, etc.), good balance of East meet West, and extra plus for Bangkok - because you can live like a king for cheap!
Tokyo.
Have a few days open on my next trip. Trying to decide on a 3 or 4 day side trip. Haven't yet been to Tokyo or Bangkok so those are at the top of my list.
Please explain why you like it. My favorite to visit is probably Taipei. Nice balance of cosmpolitan and inexpensiveness and delicious street food.
Tokyo, Bangkok, Kyoto in that order.
Tokyo is the most random place to go to. You see some weird shit going there haha.Originally posted by Manhattan

I just love it because it was a hustle/bustle city but I felt safe to walk anywhere, even at 'sketchy' districts where the Yakuza runs the joint. If you get sick of all of it, the shinkansen is nearby to take you to the countryside within hours.

I really enjoyed Hanoi.
I also enjoyed Singapore as a city, I found the city to be extremely well designed and felt that everything was very clean and people were generally friendly.
When are you going? Depending on the season, one is better than the other.Originally posted by Manhattan

HongKong! But will compare it to Tokyo/Seoul/Taipei next year!

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
We'll see how Seoul goes in two weeks!Originally posted by max_boost

QFT. Loved all 3. Tokyo stole my heart though.Originally posted by Type_S1

Hanoi and Bangkok.
Hanoi has more of a old world charm with great food and art.
Bangkok was quite fun too.
Hope you didn't set your hopes too high...Seoul is a pretty boring city, the best part of Seoul is not in Seoul even, it's the DMZ haha.Originally posted by flipstah

For me, it would be Kobe. I just love that city, close to Osaka and Kyoto. My wife is from there so I am there often, but I enjoy it much more than Tokyo, which is just crazy, but definitely cool as well. I like chilling in countryside Kobe. Depending what you are into really. Didn't like Bangkok at all, Singapore is pretty neat (love Sentosa Island) and is probably my second favourite.
Yes for DMZ haha.Originally posted by eblend

I'm going to Busan as well and have the ability to fly around that radius (looking to either head back to Japan and go to Tokyo again, Hong Kong, KL or Singapore).
Osaka was #2 and Hiroshima was #3 (I like history so it was fitting).
For food, I love going to Tokyo... Tokyo fish market sushi... extra fatty tuna belly... Haven't had toro like that anywhere else... including Vancouver.
I also really liked the beaches in Thailand... went to the islands in the south, and had a blast. Cheap, great weather, and good food. Bangkok had really good street food in the night markets
Seoul was boring... was pretty much a tamer version of Tokyo. The DMZ was kind of cool. Korean food wasn't too different from Calgary Korean restaurants imo. I would skip if you're already going to Tokyo... I spent 4 days here, and was bored after day 1.
In Vietnam, Hoi An was my favourite place there. No cars on the streets, very laid back. If you want some tailored clothes for cheap, this is the place to go.
