Looks pretty similar in the lines and angles although it's impossible to say until it's revealed. Doesn't look like as much of an update as say the 2015 Mustang that's considerably changed from the s197. That said it was interior styling which is more of a sore point on current Camaros as it just looks and feels so low rent and outdated.
I can't believe how huge it still is.. I thought it was supposed to shrink, and look more like the 2nd gen 1970 Camaro?
Doesn't really look much different than the current gen

Of course, a perfectly good explanation is boring, so the answer is, it's fucking voodoo.
Typical GM..they don't learn. Just stuff a bigger engine in it, that will solve all the issues. Well, that's one thing they do properly.Originally posted by Ukyo8

There is no good reason to make a muscle car that damn big. A muscle car does not need 19/20" rims to look good! It does not need to be practical.
If they could go into it with this line of thought they could have a ~3500 lb weapon of mass ford destruction with that displacement included. Improve on the 4th gen f body design 3400 lbs approx with a 5.7 L and full leather interior. It's possible!

The proportions from the top view look almost Viper-esque. Long hood, short trunk. That I can get down with!
It's going to be much smaller I think. This car is going on the Alpha platform which is classified as a compact, the previous gen on the Zeta platform was classified as mid size.
Alpha platform= Cadillac ATS
Zeta platform= Pontiac G8/Chevy SS
Big size difference!
If it can handle like the current Z/28 with about 500lbs less I'll buy one.
Exactly my thoughts.Originally posted by Ukyo8

Should have taken the opportunity to bring some more classic design features in... That bumper is the farthest thing from muscle car that I want to see.
Im not even sure why they put the prod body on these cars. Bascially entirely revealed...

I agree..I was expecting to see something more like this. 80's throwback styling in a modern way. But, we end up with this shitOriginally posted by killramos

This is what happens when we have people comparing Mustangs and Camaro's to M3's. The boss's take notice and think that's what people want muscle cars to be...
Totally agree..it's a fools game to try and compete with something like the M3 in that dept imo. GM hasn't learned all the lessons from bankruptcy I think.Originally posted by killramos

The 5th gen was a huge success for GM, especially in comparison to the 4th gen. So it's not surprising that the next gen isn't going to stray too far looks wise. The 5th gen has also fairly consistently outsold the Mustang, which has lead the segment since the 80's. I'm not personally a fan of the 5th gen Camaro (and I own 2 thirdgens )but i'll give credit where credit is due; pretty big coup for GM to have the Camaro outsell Mustang.Originally posted by Ukyo8
