So just so I am clear: lanyards = lame, purses = cool?
I don't think anyone ever considered me to be cool. I could start a poll perhaps.

I really wish people would take more stewardship of the street in front of their houses. Everyone acts like it's their property when it comes to parking, but they refuse to clean it come spring.

I know we pay a lot of taxes and street sweeping exists, however they won't be doing our neighborhood for another two months and every single house down my secondary street has a shit ton of gravel amd 1/2 decayed leaves in the gutters that will completely clog up all the storm drains after a couple of heavy rain days.

I think you have the wrong thread. That definitely SHOULD be a peeve, especially the leaves part. Flooded out roads because assholes won't pick up the 30ft of leaves is ridiculous

People who have their car navigation's map rotate to match their direction of travel, rather than north always pointing up like it does on a map, shouldn't be trusted with driving.

If I'm following GPS, IDC where north is...I'm more concerned with where the next turn is and not having to think in my head "Oh it's left on the map but north is up on the map so it's a right turn"

Mostly this stems from not knowing how to change the navigation in the company truck I'm in. I don't care enough to remember to figure it out when I'm sitting still, and it probably can't be changed when I'm moving. Maybe it can. I don't know.

I think if you're a boy you should have some desire for exploration built in to you, and from that you should be able to figure out how to get somewhere based on the cardinal directions that are on any map that's ever been made, and that you would have seen well before you were ever driving age. On the other hand, I also use north-south-east-west indoors, which by most people wouldn't be perceived as normal.

Geographic north is magnetic south... so if you correct to magnetic north your map is south up??

Correct him about how he started in Gay Porn. He's super cool about answering questions like that.

So this shouldn't bother me as much as it does. Maybe it shouldn't bother me at all.
    - I'm on a forum devoted to Enthusiasts of Ford trucks. it has a lot of older dudes who like ot talk about shit from the 70's, heavy trucks, RV stuff, it's pretty nice most of the time.
    - It's also common for people like this to lament the loss of something from "the good old days".
    - These same cranky old dudes who often bring up "the fact that trucks are too expensive and Ford should make a cheaper truck, with even less options than the XL trim level"

I don't know why it makes me so crazy, when they are just fitting the stereotype so well, but it does. It's obvious (to me) that people want to spend more money on trucks with more features. low-trim trucks sell very poorly, indicating there's little demand for them. Why should I care?
